October 22 - 26

Kyle is 6 months today!!! We went to the doctor for his 6 month appointment and vaccinations. He is just under 18 pounds (17 pounds 13 ounces, to be exact) and is now 28 inches! He is still in the 95th percentile for height. This evening we gave him his first taste of solids...rice cereal mixed with breast milk. At first I didn't think he liked it at all because he fussed so much between spoonfuls. Near the end, though, as I began to give him spoonfuls more quickly, he fussed less and swallowed more. I guess I was just moving too slow for him! Enjoy the pictures of this fun experience! :)

Rocking on all fours and lunging for my toys!

My best friend, my daddy

Bubbles at the library are more fun now that I know how to reach out and get them.

Remember my buddy, Aidan? I hadn't seen him in a while so we caught up at the library.

Mom, will you stop taking so many pictures???

Where's my clothes, mom?!?!?!?

We've come a long way, baby! Look how well we all sit now!

October 7 - 21

What a fun fall season we have had so far! Kyle will be 6 months in less than a week and his little personality pops out more and more. He is working on sitting on his own (mostly has that down) and crawling. He gets on all fours and rocks back and forth then moves forward or backwards ever so slightly. He mostly moves backwards....developed mommy's sense of direction I guess. We take him to the doctor on Friday, his 6 month birthday, and will begin his first solids, rice cereal, then as well. It will be so much fun to see how he responds to something other than mommy's milk!

Hanging out with Uncle John's dog, Oliver....What is this thing in front of me?

MMM....I figured out how to get my toes in my mouth and they taste so good!

I just love playing in the park!

All of this grocery shopping is making me hungry!

Can someone tell me where my diaper is???

Practicing my sitting every day

Uncle John, you're so funny!

3 hour layover at the airport...no problem, I've got recline

So many babies, so many parks

Mommy went out with some of her friends without me!

First time at the fair....so many smells, sounds, sights, people.....I was still able to take a little nap during all of it!
Mommy's Stay At Home Moms group had a big family Halloween party at Blue Jay Point Park. This was the first of many times I will be wearing my Halloween costume. Mommy, daddy, all of our friends, and I had so much fun!

My buddy, Matthew, and his mommy, Mary. I share my favorite toys with him. I guess that is why he likes to hang around me so much!

Matching bibs....hey, is that Daddy in the background trying to teach us how to crawl???
