Making yummy cheese biscuits

Stylin' with the purple heart sunglasses

Happy Birthday, Uncle John!

Getting the candles ready

I'll help you with that...

ECU basketball game....Kyle's first one

Conductor for a day

Yy week....."Little Blue and Little Yellow"
Kyle discovered that yellow and blue make green so he wanted to try making other colors with red, blue, and yellow.

Using shoes to block the sun in his eyes...hmmmmm...

Completed project...we discovered how to make purple, orange, and green

Kyle is really into the 24-36 piece puzzles these days. He'll work on them every day.

Yy week...yellow painting with yarn

After painting Kyle used the yarn to make the letters of his name and glued it onto the paper.

First time making AB patterns with pegs (we've tried pattern work with things he'd have to glue onto paper but he never was interested...guess I just needed the right tool to get him interested)

ABC pattern came next

10 stamps on the supper chart meant Kyle could choose a reward.....he chose ice cream after supper....yummy!

Before the manicure and pedicure began to tickle him...

Showing the progression of vanity over his "spicy" (spiky) hair...

Fun times with Kaleigh and Brynn

On our way to spend a week at Jacksonville Beach with granny!

Uncle John brought his Xbox and Karl and Kyle were hooked

Miles and miles of sand...

Fun times at Adventure Landing

Sick and waking up with the sunrise led to a snooze in the car

St. Johns Town Center

Coffee and ice cream break from the rain in St. Augustine

Had to change Kyle's clothes due to all the rain and I guess I hadn't changed out the pair of jeans I had stuck in my bag in a while....Kyle didn't mind...he was surrounded by barrels full of candy!

Couldn't quite get the rain poncho to work...

A face full of ice cream, chocolate covered chocolate chip cookies, and pretzels....wow!

Nothing like pants full of sand

Uncle John and Kyle ran to the water then turned around and ran away from it....it was the funniest thing, according to Kyle, that happened all week.

Christina, Uncle John, and Kyle decided it was time to feed the seagulls...I wondered who would get bit or pooped on first.

Whipped cream for breakfast? Why not?
Enjoying a breakfast outside in sunny Florida at the Original House of Pancakes.

And this was the kids' portion...

Back from vacation...all done with our letters of the week so starting some theme studies...the first one is ponds. Many of the ideas come from www.totallytots.blogspot.com. After reading "In the Small, Small Pond," we painted a blue pond in preparation of all the animals that will be added to it.

Counting and circling the number of items shown.

Watching the construction vehicles down the street.
