October 30 - November 1, 2009

Once again my laptop crashed on me and this time it looks as though we may not be able to recover everything that was on it. If that is the case then I will have lost some great pictures of our visit to Hill Ridge Farm, the Halloween Rhyme Time at the library, and the Halloween Trail at Durant Park. Thankfully some of our friends captured some pictures of our other Halloween events and sent them to us. Many thanks to you Lana, Michelle, and Kathy for the pictures. October 2009 will be a month to remember with my unexpected surgery, trip to Florida and the blown tire on the way back, visits from Oma, Granny, Uncle Jacob from Hong Kong and Uncle John from Greenville, and other things that made it quite a month. If you missed some of the earlier October pictures, click on older posts at the bottom to take a look. Enjoy some of our Halloween celebrations!
Kyle the golfer and Amina (born the day after Kyle in the same hospital) as Minnie Mouse getting ready to trick or treat at the Lodge of Wake Forest retirement home.

Paging Dr. Knodell....Amy and I channeled our inner children and dressed up for this event along with the kids.

Karl and Kyle got to enjoy time with friends trick or treating at the Factory in Wake Forest. Kyle is enjoying a treat with Alex.

We got these pumpkins at our visit to Hill Ridge Farms earlier in the week but didn't get a chance to carve them until Halloween day. Kyle is gearing up for the task with a little pre carving snack.

The gang got together for Halloween for the third year in a row!! The kid count increased this past year (and did so by two more not too many hours after this photo) by at least ten, if not more, as most of the moms have had their second (or third) children now. Click here to see most of the same group in 2008 and here to see their first Halloween together in 2007.

Kyle won his first costume contest at a local toy store with this costume!

Saying goodbye to Uncle Jacob the day after Halloween!

Granny (Kyle's great-grandma) had a great time playing with the beans, funnels, measuring cups, containers, etc. with Kyle.
