February 4 - March 4, 2011

Warm, warm February days....maybe the groundhog was right this year! We have been enjoying some wonderful weather for the past month, as well as several fun events....circus, basketball games, birthdays, golf, etc.

Kyle's first Ringling Brothers circus

Happy Valentine's Day! Kyle woke up to this little Valentine's Day gift. These magnets entertain him every day while I am fixing meals.

Starfall has added on to their site and now includes a yearly membership fee site called More Starfall that Kyle LOVES. The site has more challenging literacy activities and a ton of math stuff. He asks to play every day and has loved the new challenge this added site has given him.

So glad to dust off the outdoor toys and enjoy the Spring like temperatures.

This was a gift to Kyle from Karl on his first Christmas at 8 months old. He still loves it at almost 4 years old!

Collecting leaves

Valentine's Day cake....enjoying the delicious chocolate frosting we made

SOOOO excited to find out Ronald McDonald would be at a local McDonald's. He reminded us every day of this a week before he was there.

Valentine's Day activities....color the 2s red.....basic addition and subtraction. Kyle used his heart shaped figures to help him add and subtract when needed. (See video below.)

Box of chocolates.....counting by tens...
...and by twos.

Kyle loves this Christmas gift from Aunt Ingrid and Chloe. As much as he loves spelling actual words, he loves making up words with random letters as well. He thinks it is hilarious when it says "Boing" each time a made up word it put in.

Celebrating Uncle John's birthday.....Uncle John: "Bonsai!" Kyle: "Birthday!"

Kyle loves his uncle!

Going golfing with Uncle John, daddy, and mommy.....an activity he asks to do at least once a week. What are we going to do when he is 4 and actually has to pay to play???

Waiting for the golf balls to fall

Happy Birthday, Dr. Seuss! Worked on -at words with this fun hat from Cat in the Hat.

And of course we had to make a special treat in honor of Dr. Seuss' birthday.
