August 30, 2008 - September 6, 2008 OUTER BANKS

The week of Labor Day we spent in Corolla, NC, part of the Outer Banks of North Carolina. It was our first visit to the beaches of NC since we moved here and what a great visit it was! We were fortunate to be able to spend the week with four other families that we had grown close to here in North Carolina. Kyle was the youngest of the 5 kids and the oldest was 2 1/2 months older than him. Our first multi-family friends vacation was such a success that before leaving we agreed that we should do it again next year!! Thanks for such a great vacation Aberants, Hamricks, Mudryks, and Sabatos!

On the way to the beach...

Spending time exploring the house

Kyle, Savannah, and Matthew

First day at the beach

Yes, Kyle is drinking the sea water....

Savannah got a splash of cold water from her dad!

The kids enjoyed watching Kyle's favorite, Barney.

The evenings were all about the adults!

Karl, Kyle, and I spent a morning at Kill Devil Hills/Kitty Hawk visiting the Wright Brothers Museum. It was Karl's first visit to the birthplace of aviation. He was so glad to share this moment with Kyle.

Kyle and Savannah spent a lot of time playing hide and seek.

Some of the boys are up to no good...
