From the time Kyle turned 1 until now, we have had so much fun with our family visiting us! Karl's mom, dad, and sister were here for Kyle's birthday and then my grandma and brother, Dr. John Franklin :), visited a week later. John was able to stay a week and grandma has stayed for 2 weeks. Enjoy the pictures of all our great times!

Although Kyle can walk, he STILL can't stand up without having something to pull up on. So, when he falls down in open space, he will crawl until he finds something to pull on. Usually when we are outside he will crawl only on his hands and feet like he is doing here.

More peekaboo with Savannah
Grandma, John, Kyle, and I spent several hours at the Duke Gardens this past week. We took some fabulous pictures while there!
We had to take Grandma and John to our favorite park!
We had a great time picking our own strawberries! Kyle even managed to put a couple in the bucket.

Grandma got Kyle this plastic recorder. Kyle was thrilled when he actually produced musical sounds from it. We would laugh and cheer, prompting him to laugh and do it over again and again for our amusement.

Kyle was lucky enough to have ALL his friends (16 babies and adults total) celebrate his birthday at a fun playgroup at our house. This time he had a cookie cake. He loved sharing his ball pit/slide with all of his friends. Savannah and him loved playing peekaboo together.
Opening birthday gifts after the post-birthday party nap and helping Daddy and Aunt Ingrid put together his slide/ball pit!
