July 23-28

I sure have been busy ever since Grandma Bayer came to town! We went to Baby Lapsit at the library and sang songs with my friends and their mommies. After that, mommy, grandma, and I went to lunch with 5 of my friends and their mommies. We were all SO good at the restaurant! All of our mommies decided to head to Starbucks for cold drinks after lunch.

Grandma, mommy, daddy, and I went to Pullen Park this weekend. I rode the train and the carousel. We had a picnic at the park. It was very hot so we will have to go back in the fall to do even more!

July 21-22

Mommy and Daddy took me to Shelley Lake Park on Sunday. We walked 2 miles around the lake. I loved feeling the breeze, hearing the birds and leaves, and seeing all the dogs walking on the path with us.

All this strolling is exhausting!

Mommy, slow down! You can only push me 10 mph!

July 15-20

I LOVE the rabbit Uncle Ed and Aunt Sue gave me. It's so soft....and it tastes good, too!

July 11-14

Swimming with Aidan - what fun Mommy, Daddy, and I had at the pool with Heather, James, and Aidan!

Aidan and I caught up at play group this week. He told me all about flying so that I know what to expect when we fly later this summer!

4 heads are better than 1 - Aidan, Alex, Taylor, and I had a great time playing together this week!

July 10

Look at me...I can sit in my Bumbo!

July 5-8

Mr. Lion has become my best friend. We are in the middle of a staring contest here. If he can lift his head while on his tummy, then so can I!

I don't like being down on the floor in my bouncer or swing during mealtimes so mommy and daddy got me a high chair that attaches to one of the normal chairs. Now I get to sit with them during meals. Before long I'll be eating with them also!

I'm beginning to realize that these things on the end of my arms can do a lot. Mr Lion likes to hang around and look at me. He tries to get me to reach out for him...I've finally realized how to reach up to him!

For those who read the post below, about Kyle sleeping through the night, he has continued to do so every night since then! He is sleeping from abour 10:00 to at least 5:00! YAYYYYYYY!

These are my new friends!

I'm not quite big enough for this kind of fun yet. It sure was nice trying it out though!

Happy 4th of July! Mommy, Daddy, and I went to Meredith and Connor's house for a cookout and pool time with some of my new baby friends. Once Mommy saw that I liked the pool she took me out of my flag outfit and put me in my swim shirt and diaper.

Kyle slept through the night!

As I sit here and type this I look at the clock and see that it is 5:36 AM. I have been awake for one hour. Kyle has been asleep for 7 hours! He last ate at 10:00, fell asleep right after I put him down at 10:30 (didn't even make it through one round of the mobile), and hasn't woken since. I woke up just after 4:30, thinking it must be around 2:30 (his usual middle of the night feeding time). I looked at the clock...saw 4:36....inwardly gasped....listened for breathing...whew, heard a breath....then waited....and waited...and waited.....until 4:49...looked into his bed and heard him breathe in again...so, I waited some more until I heard Karl stirring. "Karl, are you awake?" "Yes." "Kyle hasn't woken up at all and he has been asleep since 10:30." Karl says, "Should we wake him?" "NO!" I yell out. (No, I didn't really yell it out...only thought that.) So, Karl got up at 5:00 to get ready for work and I am still sitting here....5:42....full of energy after such a long night of uninterrupted sleep....still waiting.....listening as he is now stirring....and waiting some more.....

July 1 - Too cool for words!

We washed the next set of clothes for Kyle today...he is growing so fast! Here is one of his new outfits...from Oma Bayer and Uncle Ryan. He'd make a cute baseball player, wouldn't he? We better get Uncle Ryan to start working with him now!
